First time since 2007

2007 was the last time I shot a deer with a gun. I’d lost the desire for several years and other than joining a few of the muzzleloader hunts we did, last year was the first time I’d tried in years.
yesterday was the day, armed with my 45 colt loaded with some spicy xtp’s that I made ( some of you had the pleasure of trying them out a few years ago), I was set off to be a cowboy.

and if it wasn’t for Sean I’d never have a picture of anything I’ve done.

Thanks guys, it was awful fun and I will probably be doing it again in the future. Just like in the old westerns when someone heard those clicks of the timing on a single action being cocked behind them, and they stop what they’re doing. At the point in time I pulled that hammer back it was as if all the sound in the world had stopped to hear the timing click by as that cylinder rotated, as so did this deer.

I’d say he was around 15 yrds.
