Levi has "it". Kid killed it, butchered it, cooked it and ate it. Pretty proud dad day for me. We even used the knives my dad made me.

Farmer down the road called today. Needed a hand running the plasma cutter. Had been at it a couple days. Still recovering from a fall out of a silo a couple years ago. So I gave him a break. He was trying to beat the weather and had animals to tend to yet. Headed home. Did brakes and oil change on daughter's car. Took it for a road test. See my garbage man pulling into his shop. I pulled in to harass him and check out his new building. Found myself swapping batteries on his backup truck with him. His new truck was acting up and backup hadn't been started in a bit.

So twice today I found myself pitching in to help others. I don't post for a pay on my back. Just a reminder to pay it forward. I've been there. I've had guys jump in and help me in a bind. I'm sure I'll need it again some day. Thankful I had a fairly slow day on schedule. TOO members are impressive with their generosity. I probably don't need to tell anyone here the rewards felt by helping a neighbor. Just felt pretty good to be able to jump in there today and I know it will come back around. In this chaotic world, who knows what is coming next or when we may need a hand.

Tried hauling stuff with the ebike this year, turkey decs and blind then corn and feeder this fall..

..and a friction bolt came loose on the rack and stabilizer and came off. Made using anything on the rack impossible.

I looked up the company, called the contact and got what I think was a pleasant young lady - def sounded oriental, probably Chinese as the website has China language in it.

I told her I hadn't checked the torque on it and would pay for the parts.

She said they don't sell individual parts but would put the parts I needed in the mail .. for free.

So I was a bit astonished and of course grateful- if you need a bike rack, I highly recommend Ibera.

Gor some Blue loctite to prevent the same mistake and the parts should be here in a couple days.
