Greyson had his first tournament game last night. They won 8-0. He actually started swinging the bat and got another solid base hit for an rbi. He walked and scored another run. He pitched the final inning and gave up 1 hit but struck out the other 3 batters. They play again tomorrow against a team that beat them 6-3 a few weeks ago.

With the passing of a long time sports donor/booster, Algonac Muskrat Alumni, father and grandfather of several Muskrats this past year our high school baseball program was gifted a clubhouse to be built on the backside of the home dugout. Many other donors have come forward as well as many parents to help build something that will truly be special for many teams to come. I have been able to help out on quite a few of the projects since it began and boy is it beginning to take shape! Thought I would share a little bit of the progress.

I will be sure to take a few more pics next time we work on it. The dugout will end up with (2) overhead heaters, the clubhouse will end up with some furniture, dry erase board with a ball diamond on it for talking plays and player placement for scenarios, fridge, ping pong table, etc..

Masons first game is scheduled for Sunday. Gonna be a cold spring but I’m looking forward to it!

He is at Hocking for the first two years. Everything will transfer to Rio, WVU and a school in MN if he chooses to continue.

I should add the baseball coach from Rio came to his last HS game and told him he had a spot if he wished to come. Mason wasn’t interested at the time but it would be cool if he could play those two years as well.

Both Ty and Myles are in 10U (kids pitch) this year, with Ty wanting to pitch and Myles catching. I'll be leading their charge, with 1 other coach and his son from last year. Got about 50% of the gang back from last year, about a net 0 on those lost vs. new added. Hopefully there 1-2 coming in that step up. This should be interesting 
Took both of the boys up to our school practice field yesterday while the weather was nice and got some swings in and hit them some balls. Felt good to get out. They will both play on the same peewee (kid pitch) team this season, looking forward to it! Baseball is definitely a sport I miss!
Field day today for equipment pickup and field prep. Coaches mtg. and game schedule creation tomorrow evening, practices start Tuesday. Good luck to all this season, fingers crossed the weather plays nice for us all!
