Well shit. I had deer coming around. A big nanny pretty much walked into my lap & spooked, snorting up a storm, but settled down. Same time, HE shows up, but continues onward without cutting inward like yesterday ...

I'm back out as well. I came up with a better ground blind at the mouth of the trail those bucks are using. It'll offer a chip shot. With the right wind, it'll be a game changer. Few does just filtered thru on my right flank. ...

First morning hunt of the year is off to a great start. Does have been in here regular hitting the bait going back to bed from what I assume is their “destination food source”. Wind is perfect and it’s pretty chilly so my fingers are crossed for a freezer filler. Normally I opt out of early season morning hunts but I think it’s what the doctor ordered. Good luck if anyone else is out.

I did not get in clean. One must have watched me climb up. Another busted me in the dark from straight below. I too usually opt out early season morning hunts in Ohio but I could have killed Buster from here Wednesday morning so I had to try. Good luck gents.
