Ok, who shoots a deer, backs out. Calls a guy to come in the morning and find his deer that he shot. Then tells him when he finds it to give it too the landowner?

Sounds like you need to start requesting pictures of the arrow/blood/hair, not only for proof but it will also help you in deciding what kind of hit you have to track and how long to wait.
Unfortunately starting out with a young dog, you’ll have too take the BS calls as well. But Chuck is correct on requesting pictures….

Been there and done that one. They swear up and done they hit the deer. "Bolt must still be in there. I can't find it." Show up to find it in a tree 8' off the ground. What's your aim point? Better go check your scope. 🤣
