Follow along with shot placement once proficient with your bow. Head and neck shots are poor shots for a bow. Pay attention to placement behind the shoulder, but not too far back or you find guts. The angle the deer is also contributes to taking a bow shot or not. Broadside or slightly quartering away is most desired.

i have looked into tree stands vs saddles as a saddle hunter what’s your opinion on witch one is better for a beginner who wants to hunt as many places as I can get into

These are the types of saddles Giles is talking about. Generally a low crossing point between two high points. The red x’s show high points and the red lines are the theoretical low points.
