After a recent involuntary trip to grove city's wally world, it looks like things may be losing steam. Lots of Busch light peach gone and the cooler was low on pretty much everything.

Odds are that's just the supply chain slowing down to match demand. They still have coveted shelf space that will look sparse until retailers reallocate that space. Shelf space is a huge fight even among people like coke and Pepsi. Distributors basically bully stores and owners into giving them more shelf space than their competitors. They do this by pricing discounts. My local guy said his Coke cola supplier demands 65% of shelf space for Coke products. They also bully stores into displays and adverts.

Here's an example. Their coke guy came in one day and said "hey I noticed you're prices on the ice machines looked old, I'll go ahead and take care of that for you, is the price still the same?". Two weeks later they slapped these on. The owner said you don't want to fight them too much because that will impact your discount and profits.

Apparently, they have a whole team of advert makers. All they need is the measurements and they'll make whatever so distributors are always looking for unoccupied space. Like this around the coolers.

Very cool, Joe. I was unaware of all that going on behind the scenes.

Works the other way as well from the Mrs who was a Nesltle and Kimberly Klark sales rep, on self space, the suppliers also pay the store for access to prime eyelevel shelf and linear foot.

As well as lightly veiled trademarked bribes to store managers, i.e., "promotions" umbrellas, picnic tables, all sorts of gizmos and gadgets...

Wonder if BW corp is going to try and save it via tossing $ to save the space.

Peach Busch seems to be giving them a push. I'm seeing people posting it on social media here and there. Must be a big deal. I don't see it but I'm not a beer guy. Tried some fruit flavored beer a s couple times and was never impressed
