Man, where did summer go?!?! Not near enough pictures to document the season so far but few complaints and lots of learning what grew well & didn't when rotating locations and fingers crossed 99% fewer weeds in yr. 2 of established mulch walking rows.

Grabbed a few of the melons and pumpkins today, still a shit ton left to harvest over the next few days.

Was hoping the Moon & Stars watermelon would break the 40lb mark, just a bit shy.

Buying our veggies the last couple summers at the corner fruit and vegetable stand is convenient but man I miss walking out back and plucking what I want. You guys all did real well this year with your gardens!!

Rd 2. pumpkin harvest done this AM. Another 10-12 out there still ripening at varies stages.

Left in the garden are the Salt n Roast sunflowers, another 5-7 watermelons, maters and peppers. Gonna cut the S&R sunflowers this evening and hang to dry, then the seeds removed for cooking & eating. The other sunflowers will be harvested and seeds removed immediately to dry for storage & planting next year.

A few more weeks and the chickens get full run for a week then it time to whip it into shape for next year. Not sure on a cover crop this year.

Rest of the watermelons are in, talk about some nice variety. We cut up a jubilee last night and the big 38lb moon and stars is on deck. A couple pumpkins still on the vine, got the eating sun flowers drying.

Peppers and a dwindling tomato plant is all that’s left. Those peppers are like the friggin energizer bunny. They keep going!

Me and the boy are still picking tomatoes!! Should have another few weeks left cor Romas. We’ve ate plenty and have around 7 gallons frozen that we’ll do sauce with.

pollinator patch is coming in and it didn’t take long for Bryce to notice the deer track….that’s my boy!!

Hell of a season. That full sun and sandy ground is amazing for your vines! We sucked on pumpkins and melons. Nice haul!

That's a wrap here. Possible rain coming on Sunday, so fingers crossed I don't need to water to get the turnip blend started.
