I’m in. Feeling like a bigger moron than I usually do. Planned on a quick ground and pound session on some public, but while I was scouting/ working my way in I realized there was a beautiful island of oaks that are covered in buck sign and wide open. Unfortunately you can’t get up a tree very high with a $15 seat. So here we are. Buck only once again tonight, I just need a really dumb mature deer to walk loudly and slowly through the one single lane I can shoot down. Tons of acorns and sign, just don’t love my setup. The edges of these oaks are too thick to shoot through, but not thick enough for a good hide. I bent over a few small trees to help conceal myself but I doubt it helps. Live and learn.

Just had a basket 8 at point blank range. Slipped in behind me and didn’t see him till he was right there. Took some cool selfie videos with him on snap chat lol. With only an hour ish to go, I’m considering readjusting because had he been a shooter, I wouldn’t have had any kind of opportunity for a shot.

Between the 3 of us, 1 doe was killed. We all had the opportunity to shoot everytime we went out but were trying to hold out for a good buck. Absolute good time despite the downpours, flooded roads, and Boone amd Crockett mosquitoes. We will definitely be putting in for this a hunt again. Tomorrow is opening day of muzzleloader so i will be in the hills looking for a bear.

Thought I heard a crossbow go off. Neighbors Grandson? I be trackin...
Nooo get to My truck some guy is pulled off and 3 pt down but alive in the road. Calling Sheriff but Heath PD shows up. He's going to shoot the deer on the road. I said excuse me officer let me use this 30 foot dog lead put it around his neck and jerk it off the road so you have dirt to shoot into. But if he jumps up and takes off take a quick picture because my hunting forum aint gonna believe this shit....Put a loop around its neck and started dragging.... at the ditch, deer said Fuck this and jumped up and took off! About the time I was ready to let go of the lead I seen he had a broken back leg. Timed it right (Thank God) and jerked him off his feet rodeo style.... told the cop, shoot him, you know you want to...Boom!
Then I told the cop why didn't you take a damn picture like I told you too...🤣🤣🤣
