Dinner last night, flat iron steaks I found in the discounted managers special bin at Buellers and walleye from Sunday. Walleye was dipped in egg and chili limon crushed pork rinds. Kristi made tartar sauce with avocado oil Mayo, dill relish and yellow mustard.

Why wouldn't you just get a half dozen eggs and some bacon or a bunless burger?
Because I didn't want to hear the shit talking that comes with this diet. So I just skipped it. Went to IHOP the next morning and got a ham and jalapeño omelet. Then I went to Walmart and got real food for the cooler. Handing out box lunches here that are nothing but carbs. I did eat the egg and sausage out of it.

Great informative video. The sad part is that too many people won't care enough to pay attention to how our population is being poisoned and even if they do, most don't have the willpower, or the ability to change their eating habits in order to become healthy. I can't tell you how many people looked at us like we were aliens when we started this WOE. Friends would say, "I could never do that, or, what about your cholesterol, that's not healthy, you need vegetables, etc...." We haven't fallen off the wagon so to speak, because we both feel better than either of us have felt in years, and we like feeling good, and being healthy.

We dealt with some of that early on also. Now our circle of friends and family have seen the results of what we are doing and are asking more questions. Most will never do it, but they do respect what we have done and the results.

I experienced the same when I was in keto hardcore. I was working at the local community college during years 3-4 of eating that way, and the HR lady asked me to do a "lunch and learn" on it. People were shocked, confused, and respectful, but I didn't convince a soul to change their habits. Some were pretty healthy anyways, but others were textbook McDonald's Americans. A lot more people are keen to clean eating now than 5 years ago. The movement is definitely growing!

I've had a good week so far and with a lot of the stress I've experienced the past few years now a fading memory, the desire to stress eat/drink is much lower. Came home last night and the past few years, I'd have sat in my chair and drank 3-4 beers while eating carryout right before bed. Last night we piddled in the garage all evening, drank 1 beer, and had a plate of veggies for dinner. It's those little adjustments that make a big difference.
