Due to popular demand, all my posts will be under this heading... Therefore if you enjoy the content jump on board and follow along... I'll include todays entry....

This Monday starts our firearm season for deer and bears... After harvesting two decent deer in Illinois my desire to go is lacking... Then I get pics of bears which is tempting me... Here is a pic of a nice bear my cousin just sent me.. This spot is a stones throw from where Dan harvested his bear...

George... Thanks... Yeh you have the ocean and I have the mountains... Bears, yeh there's a few around, you probably have better deer though... We'll have to get together one day for a beer or two...

So tomorrow is our firearm deer season for deer and bears... Rain is in the forecast for Mon. Tues. Wed. so I'm not going... I'm not sitting out in the rain... Been there done that many times before... No more, I hunt to enjoy myself not be miserable... Besides I killed 2 deer in Illinois and my freezer is full, so I don't need to kill another deer... Bears are still up and about as my cousin had several on camera last night... He doesn't have a tag and no desire to shoot one... Thurs. if it's nice I may take the 870 for a walk and see if I can see a bear, just get out and stretch my legs, do a little scouting for next year when Jon and Dan come back... @Sgt Fury George GOOD LUCK if you go..,

Yup, I’m going. Got several good bucks at both spots I hunt. Numerous pics the last few days and many nice buck rubs have appeared at my swamp stand over the past week. Looking forward to it. I‘ll Be hunting in a blind so the rain won’t affect me.
