If you swap with the .223, all you really need is the barrel and the right length gas system, as well as a magazine. The bcg for the .223 is the same. But you should always check head spacing when installing a new barrel.

The law changed a few years ago where you don't have to plug a gun to meet the requirement. Just can't have more than three rounds in the gun.

I just bought a ccmg kit to covert my .223 to 350 Legend. It's all together, just need to get some ammo and shoot. Eventually, I will build a complete upper for it, so I can just swap .225 and 350 out.

Jim is right, different climbing rope stretches more for different applications. Do a search for Static climbing rope and find something in the 8mm range. You are going to pay more for it, but it will work better for this application, as it will have a lower amount of stretch vs a Dynamic...

SLOW DOWN. Look for signs other than blood. Get down low, look for turned over leaves, broken saplings, deer trails. You don't have to find a lot of blood to find a dead deer. If you understand the lay of the land, use that to your advantage as well. Most important, try not to disturb the leaves...
