What arrows and broadheads are you shooting this year?

Good deal Jesse. I didn't notice anymore penetration in the bag target with the heavier setup, but it is a fair amount quieter, and I have more confidence with this setup. Got the rest of my arrows finished tonight and tipped with broadheads. Between four arrows with BH's, there is .5gr of...

    New safety harness,,, which one???

If that's the case, the muddy harness is probably your best option. I ran one for years and it was lightweight and comfortable. I just never liked having the strap between my shoulder blades, as I always felt it was in my way.

Rock climbing harness. I switched to one last year, and I'll never go back.

A Lesson We Can All Learn From: The Perfect Shot That Wasn't

At 9:30, we decided to head back out and pick up the trail. I told my BIL on the way out that if we bumped her again, we were done for the night and I would head back out to look for her in the morning, as it was going to be a cold night. We made it back to the bed and I showed them the blood...

What arrows and broadheads are you shooting this year?

Had a chance to shoot these through the chrono today. 28.5"DL @ 67lbs (Previous)Easton Flatline, 345gr. 307fps (New)Easton Bowfire, 475gr. 267fps I am shooting a three pin slider, so this took me from one pin out to 30, 40, and 50 to 20, 30, 40. I'm good with that though. I'm over the speed...

What arrows and broadheads are you shooting this year?

I didn't realize until I got the arrows built how hard it was gonna be to find 150gr fp and broadheads. My fault for not looking further before assembling the arrows. At least it gives me a little more FOC.

What arrows and broadheads are you shooting this year?

After last year's debacle with the doe, I opted to go with a heavier arrow. After running the numbers on SFA, I ended up opting for the Easton Bowfire 330's. Cut at 28.5", fletched with Blazers, and topped with a 150gr Grim Reaper Hades Pro head, I'm coming in at 475 grains. Should be spined...

What is your favorite trail camera?

I've sent back all three of my Bushnells for warranty work. As well as my Browning. With that being said, I still love the Bushnell cameras. I'm running Aggressors, and the trigger speed and picture quality is great. Two of the three are black flash and one is red. The Browning was boogered up...

    The TOO dump thread

Dave, did you get the window taken care of yet? I just replaced two insulated window panes on my house due to rocks from the mower. It's easy to do, and a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing a window. I bought both for $300 from a local glass company.

Also, I'll come up with something to donate for the shoot as well. Awesome stuff so far!

What Jimbo said. I use a thumb screw bolt with a mud screwed up right against the thumb end and a wing nut on the other side. Also, I use a rubber washer, then stainless washer, then wing nut on the bolt that screws into the camera. Very awesome setup Ric. That was a great idea! Here's a...

    Ladder stands,, Whats new???

I've been looking at the Muddy Skybox stands. Not really looking for something to bowhunt out of, more so as gun stands, but they have a big platform, so they may be fine for bowhunting. Rural King has some killer deals on nice ladder stands of you check on weekly.

What did you do for the deer today?

Spend less time out there during the off season. Since the deer's patterns will change from summer to fall, I don't plan on bouncing cameras around and trying to find deer. The mineral sites are spread out across the farm, so if the deer are around, I will get pics. All im doing now is...

What did you do for the deer today?

I put out four trace mineral blocks in four locations across the farm, along with a camera at each. Two are established sites, two are new. I don't plan on checking these cameras until August, as they all have fresh batteries. I also lowered the resolution of the cams, and upped my SD cards to...
