We hunted Indian Hills Conservation Area, about 15 miles from the Iowa border. Coincidentally it was about 2 miles from Terry Drurys farm, 😉. Great area, and there were some other CA that were close enough to drive, but we were just learning that spot.

Found three yesterday. I probably would have found the matched set last year, but ol uncle sam had me preoccupied, lol. Either way, walked 5.5 miles and if this deer is still alive that excites me!

My old man shot a nice one this morning. He saw 6 and fortunately for him the biggest one gave him a 12 yd shot. Pretty pumped for him, he hasnt shot one in like 5 yrs.
