Since the opportunity presented itself tonight I made two more videos of the fawns behind the house coming in to feed. Look for the shoes.

Earlier in the fall I posted this pic of a yearling sporting 7 points coming in late to feed.
He's back! He has been coming in to feed for the past several evenings and looks no worse for wear. He remembers me and comes right in. He knows the soup kitchen is still open.
Anybody else notice that the 2nd rut is on? I was out feeding the "pets" last night (who got hammered pretty bad Sunday of gunweek) and they were real jumpy. Four stayed about 30 yards up a hill from me keeping me between them and a draw that the bucks usually come out of. Only a button buck...
Warmed up a bit here in Cambridge today and I felt like going to the range. I have four .38-40s and could not decide which one to take. Chose the octagon Winchester 1892. Shot 50 rounds off hand at the 100 yard dinger. Today was a good day, averaged 9 out of 10 hits.
I got a T/CC Super 14 inch .30-30 barrel for sale. The bore is pristine and has seen little use. No frame wear on the left side, a bit on the right side and back of chamber. Only blem is a rust spot that has been scraped below front sight on left side as seen in pic.

Does anybody hunt deer with a flintlock rifle?
This was me in Virginia when I could still see my belt buckle and my hair was dark.
Rifle is a .50 cal T/C PA Hunter.
When you have days when the does have to come in and stink up the place,
it is hard for the bucks to stay away. Friday night I was in my stand and a small 8 came in to visit four of my decoys and have a snack. He stood with with his back to me at 20 yards. For 10 minutes I debated in my...
This little guy was one of my button bucks from last year. Finally got him to come in and eat some corn. He is a 7 point this year with a thin but nice rack. He is with a same size 6 point about 10 yards to our left. The 6 point comes by often, just won't come to the food with me there. Hope he...
Since I live within walking distance of SF I had to give the deer in the back the rules for the week. They were to stay here and not to go to the park. They all listened.
Went up to Huron for the weekend. Launched out of the Huron river on Saturday and headed toward Cranberry Creek. The lake went from just OK to worse. My buddy Gary says"fish on". This is what he brought into the boat after a good fight. It was the only fish we caught. We did not stay out too...
Over the LDay weekend I was NW of Kelly's Island. I did catch this perch, but what gets me is that I did not feel the first take on the spreader. I like to think that I am better than that. It happened to me 3 times and my buddy once.
For sale is a very nice Schmidt-Rubin Model 1911 that has been sporterized. The fore end has been nicely cut and there is no top wood. Other than that it is clean with matching numbers.
The bore is very clean with a very crisp trigger.
$250.00
I can deliver almost anywhere from Columbus...
For sale is a BSA Model 12 in .22 LR. The receiver was built in 1932-1939. It has a custom heavy target barrel. There are no markings as to who the barrel maker is.
The scope is a Unertl 12x Ultra Varmint. The take off barrel (which has been D&T years ago for scope bases) and fore end come...
Selling one of my Marlin M375s chambered for the .375 Winchester. Rifle has a Simmons 3x9x40 Prohunter scope. Action is very slick with a good trigger pull. Bore is great, shines like a mirror, no pitting at all. Right side of receiver has one marred screw head for the loading gate shown in pic...
