    2018 Whos going where??

Montana was good to us! DIY on public land, realized packing an elk 4mi out in two trips is more of a task than I imagined it to be. One night we got back to camp at 3am, didn't help my dad shot a bull the same day as mine at a different trailhead, was 36hrs of packing meat.

    Colorado DIY Archery Elk Hunt

I believe you can buy a point this summer if you didn’t do the draw(a new thing started last summer) and then next year when you apply buy a point then as well and you’ll start with 2 points. With that... you should draw a general tag(what I do). There’s some big ones for every dozen 2 and 3pts...

    Colorado DIY Archery Elk Hunt

When you do let me know and I can give you the little knowledge I do have. You wanna start off with a fun hunt do MT mulies or WY Pronghorn, MT mulies you'll see 50-100 deer a day and have a half dozen stalks a day (rifle season)

Also: When calling a bull in, same concept as turkeys caller behind you BUT don't set up beside or behind a tree, set up in FRONT of a tree. Use it to break up your outline and just remember they see movement and want be too concerned about your motionless figure, if you're behind the tree you...

    2018 Whos going where??

I've heard awesome things about Idaho's OTC elk tags... I'm thinking we may be out there in 2019 and looking to draw in CO for mulies as well. If you ever get a chance hit up SE Montana for a mule deer hunt, an absolute blast of a hunt!

    2018 Whos going where??

Well I'm still all sorts of shook up, this year planned on doing general unit deer and elk in Montana. However knowing how their point system works we decided to apply for a hard to draw unit and when we didn't draw we'd collect our bonus point for the year. I picked a HD where our odds were...

    I need a hook up

lol typically not, especially if they're claiming trophy fish Seriously tho, if you're not itching to go right now. Just wait till PA trout season opens up in april, they stock the shit out of the streams, you'll catch fish all day and if you going during the week there won't be as many people.

http://www.trouthavenguide.com/ If you wanna do guided, this is the private section of the stream I grew up fishing, a freaking awesome stream! Pres Carter and Eisenhower used to fish this stream. It is fly fishing only though but it's super easy to pick up on especially if you have a guide...

    all weather jacket -

Yeah at 30 degrees I'd just wear a long sleeve tee under it I prefer lightweight and fitted over the bulkier heavier jackets and this jacket breathes real well. All I wore during the day it was in the negatives was an under armor base layer, a thermal and then a long tee on top of it. 30MPH...

    I need a hook up

shoot I wouldn't be able to help you on the spinning reels, the streams we fished were flyfish only... I'd do some research on the major rivers that run through here or the bigger limestone streams, trout are typically a bit larger in the big rivers and are more prone to nailing a rooster tail...

    I need a hook up

How far are you looking to drive into PA? Fly fishing or spin reel? I wouldn't pay for a guide... I grew up flyfishing central PA... yellow springs, spruce creek and the little juniata, then moving further east to flyfishers paradise, spring creek, yellow breeches, and big spring. Mostly...
