    Antler remodel

Found the sheds of the pa deer I shot this year from the year before. They are pretty chewed up but I’m going to try and bring them back. Been watching YouTube clips and seeing the best way to remodel tines and such. Only question I have, if anyone has done this, what is the best way to bring...

    2 3/4 tss

I don’t believe any company is making a 2 3/4 inch 20 gauge tss shell. If anyone knows of any please pass along. My son, who is 7, is going to spring gobbler hunt this year. He has a nice 410 that shoots well and he will prob use, but it got me thinking. As amazing as these tss shells are, why...

    Bucks feet

Hey guys, hope someone knows more than me. When I was skinning the buck I shot the other night I noticed his hooves were all beat up. I have heard ehd survivors can have hoof issues. Anyone seen it before and does it look like this

    Nitro fire review

So I bit the bullet and bought a traditions nitro fire. My review so far… first like the over all look and feel of the gun. Handles nice on pick up. Bought a leopold 3x9 scope that is made for muzzleloaders and shotguns to top it. second, really really like how it’s loaded. Obviously just...

    Sick or old

So got a pic tonight if this girl. I’m worried she is sick or she might just be old. Opinions?

    Sevr

Used Sevr broadheads last year. Really like the design and sturdiness of them. The only problem I had was penetration. I shoot 70 lb and shot my bucks last year at 12 yards and didn’t get a pass thru. It was a little high so I’m sure I caught some ribs, but at that distance I think it should...

    Helicopter crash

Got a call today, a helicopter helping to do SeismographIng in our area, crashed on my property. Pilots banged up pretty bad, but was awake and talking as they took him on life flight. Lots of police presence there now. I’m sure there will be a big investigation into what happened to cause the...

    Velvet 2023

Now that turkey seasons over or about over in most the state, is it too early to be getting excited for deer hunting? I don’t think so! I’ll kick it off

    Shortest hunt ever

Well going into the last week of the season, all hope was lost to kill a bucks in Ohio. Until 7 o’clock tonight! A good one showed up on cams. Talked to the wife and she said go get him. Have all my stuff packed ready to take off in the morning! All excited I check my cell cams again and he’s...

    Controlled burns

Some know I bought some ground last year in south east Ohio. Coming from pa we are very restricted as private land owners on doing any controlled burns. I believe from what I have read land owners in Ohio can do burns. First anyone know the exact laws that have to be followed? Second has anyone...

    Unique

Anyone ever see a coyote with colors like this? I have seen blonde ones and I have seen dark ones. Never a half and half

    Slug guns

I’m guessing some of you guys have some experience with slug guns. My dads heading to Illinios late next week for their gun season. He has a savage 20 gauge that he wants to take and I can not get it to shoot well at 100 yards. Spraying every where. Is 100 yards a difficult shot for a slug gun...

    Done in pa!

After shooting cloud 9 bucks last year, it was hard to live up to the expectations of a 160 plus inch buck. Had to realize that for pa a 140 is a big deer, and remind myself to have fun. Well did that last night! Had been getting pics of a buck I called “moose” in a heavily hunted area. Was...

First hunt on new property was a success

I had posted before about buying some property in noble county. Well last night was my dad and I first hunt, and by dark the ice had been broke on a stud. He never made it out of the field. Gotta love a big 8

    Hit list

What’s everyone’s hit list? What’s the criteria for you to want to fill a tag? I’m lucky enough to be able to hunt older deer so that’s number one criteria for me. Big deer are awesome, but they usually only get that way if they are older. Couple on the list.

    Used box blinds

Have an opportunity to buy some used redneck blinds. They are a couple years old and in good shape. Don’t know what I should offer per blind. Anyone have an idea of what you would pay?
