    spraying clover plots

I'm going to be mowing my clover and alfalfa plots this weekend. I was wondering what you guys use to spray on them to get rid of the grass the last few weeks the grass is really starting to come on strong now. I'd like to spray it before fertilizing again.

Food and Bedding Plots Are In

This is the Old Saw food plot location. It's a small field tucked back in a corner behind a bigger agricultural field, not sure what they are planting there yet. The field is separated from that big field with a thin strip of brush and trees, very secluded. Here we planted Whitetail Select...

    PERFECT Timing!

This was the first September 1st in many years that I didn't get out to shoot either doves, geese, or teal. It was tough to hear of my brother's group shooting 3 limits of doves in just under 2 hours, or of Jake whacking 4 limits of geese by 7:30... I mean, that's just fuggin lights-out action...

I've never done this, but I'd like to this year. When is the best time and what are the best conditions to frost-seed some clover? What type of clover have you had the most success with frost-seeding and at what seeding rate? Also, does this unusually-mild winter change things as far as...

went down to the farm yesterday to check on food plots. Things are looking good. Several months ago I posted about a no-till method I have used once before by simply spraying several times and broadcasting rye and wheat. I did this on a gasline right-of-way on the Northern section of my...
