Lol. I would think they years down the road they would turn feral? There's no way they can catch all those.

Don't know how accurate, but I have read several different places a loose domestic hog can turn feral in a very short time period. Have read it in more than one place so it seems to be consensus.

In regards to DOW doing it on purpose? Be hard to stage something like this I would think. Wolves, coyotes? I can believe they were released. Not sure the pigs would have been a planned ordeal.

I'd be interested in what the real numbers are. I've read 3 different articles and they have 3 different numbers of how many pigs were killed and how many got away.

Guaranteed, Leasing prices will take a big jump in that area. How many of you would arrow a piglet? They were lucky no trigger happy assault rifle toting cops from Campbell Ohio were nearby.

Escaping piglets is exactly how a feral hog population was established in southern Lorian county and I have been told the same about Northern Michigan.

It was La Grange area I believe, the population has been exterminated, but if you google it, you can find several articles. I seen some photos of my buddies buddies killing them in the snow several years ago.

I heard from a USDA employee a few weeks ago that they believed they currently had that population reduced down to 1 remaining hog. Hopefully they got that sucker. They did a great job getting on them early and getting control before it was too late.
