Definitely pricey for a back pack. The two different packs that a couple of buddies have, seem very high quality. I was in need of a new one and I was sold after checking them out. I'm due for a new pack for hauling climbing sticks along with the usual gear. It also appears they have an unconditional lifetime warranty. I like that.

Somebody enlighten me... why are these packs so expensive?
If you've never owned a quality pack, you don't know what you are missing. Buy once, cry once kind of purchase. If you are happy with what you have, keep your money.

That is what I used to tell people that came in looking for packs. It isn't something everyone needs.

I've had mine for at least three seasons now. It's the Badlands Superday Backpack Realtree APX.

I love the damn thing for my all day hunts. I've had other good backpacks in the past, but nothing like this one. It's durable, super quite to use while afield and fairly rain proof as well. I like both the pistol holder and the Hydration system, plus there are several pockets and departments within the pack itself. I also bought mine when they had a 50% off sale on it back in 2018. I have no regrets in buying it and I would buy another if I were to hunt out west for more than a few days at a time, a much bigger one.

Features
  • Contoured foam back panel
  • Hydration compatible
  • Padded waist belt with pockets
  • Pistol holder
  • Durable polyester material
For all-day hunting adventures, you'll be hard pressed to find a better pack than the Badlands Superday backpack. This value-priced, high-tech pack is constructed of a quiet and durable polyester fabric that will last years of use and abuse. The Superday features 1950 cubic inches of capacity, including two compartments and several pockets, for the ultimate in gear storage. The gun/bow carrier allows you to head to the field with your hands free, giving you the opportunity to glass as you go. The front compartment features a pistol holder, while the padded waist belt features easy to reach pockets, proving comfort and function. Compression straps and gear webbing allow you to secure your outer layer of clothes or all of your necessary gear. The Superday is also hydration compatible, with the addition of the 105 oz. water bladder (not included). At 3lbs 15 oz., this backpack is light enough for all-day wear and the state of the art suspension keeps the weight off of your shoulders, reducing fatigue and increasing focus.

I've used mine on several hunts already. It's a little bulky for some of the stands where I don't need to carry sticks to, but overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of it.
