Anyone hunting Fall Turkeys?

I shot a buck early this year and figured I'd try some Fall Turkey hunting, before I go back out to get a doe.

I'm taking my ground blind, a couple decoys and see what happens. I've never hunted turkeys in the Fall and this is the first year for Allen County, so it should prove interesting.

Anyone else hunt turkeys in the Fall?

Bust em up and call them back in...fall
Actually, I'll be hunting with my bow, so the "run & gun" technique isn't going to work. I'm considering putting out a jake and a hen, then getting into a treestand. This is an area along a river that seems to hold the turkeys.

Plus, I might get a doe in the process, while waiting on the thunder chickens.

Your better off hunting on the ground for turkey . Turkeys will spot you quicker if your in tree than if your on the ground
