What is the best way to secure a cap to a piece of wood without showing any hardware like screws or wire? Anyone want to share their method?

I cap the small bucks that I don’t want to mount, salt it for a couple months...using a wire brush to remove and reapply the salt during that time. Then I make my own plaques ( I use a torch to slightly burn the wood instead of staining it). I use tapcons to secure the plaques to the block wall. Then I’ll drill two holes into the deer cap, then use small black sheetrock screws to secure it to the plaque. I’ll then brush the hair on the cap to cover what little you can see of the screws. The black screws blend in pretty well.

If it's a buck you could drill up into the pedicals and up into the antlers.

How about once the inside cap is cleaned and ready, pour some liquid resin that will harden. Once set, drill and screw from the back.

(Although it would appear Sgt Fury has a perfected method lol)

Anybody got any ideas on what to do with this one? Its one of my best deer i got a long time ago, was planning on getting a shoulder mount done, so its skull was cut for that and had the cape im my freezer. Didnt have the money for it at time. First thing frezzer it was in at my brothers garagea gave out, and no one knew about till everything in it was ruined, then at the time had sharpae mix dog that some how managed to get a hold of it and ate most of the skull out of it. I know a taxidermist could do something with it im sure, but would rather try to fix it myself. Just not shure how to do it that it wont look all hacked up. Any ideas would b much appreciated.
