A guy that’s like a brother to me has found out that he has tumor the size of a fist in his brain...I found out yesterday and it tore me up pretty good that I can’t be there next to the bed with him.

This guy is family to me as we shared many good and bad times together. Both out in the great outdoors that Alaska has to offer and those late night deep talks. We have both been there when the other needed and I simply can’t make the trip right now.

TOO being a big part of my support network now, I wanted to share and hope some of you can at least think of him if I’d get a chance. He goes in for surgery later today and I can’t even think about the worst without it breaking my heart. Trying to stay strong but sometimes you just gotta let it all out...

We hunted and fished together, he is my boy/brother from another mother. Biggest redneck brown mutt you ever did see. Strong hearted boy that has the drive to get through this, but some things are beyond our control. They always say the good ones die young and that’s the part that hurts the most. Damn good guy!

Not really an option but Christine is looking at ticket prices right now. $741 to leave late Friday and returning early Sunday morning. Basically be on the ground in AK for less then 8 hours.

Taking time off work isn’t really an option right now. I’m sure I could pull the boss aside and get a day off, to be honest, I don’t think I could hold my composure long enough to have that talk with him...
