Got a rack of spare ribs and a boston butt rubbed down and resting in the fridge. Gonna fire up the smoker tomorrow and see how it goes. Haven't done a pork butt in over 10 years. We'll see how it goes.

Looks appetizing, let’s see the finished product when you’re done.
Just ordered our pellet grill and waiting on it’s arrival. Can’t wait to see how it works for us. Something about a smoked pizza has me curious 🍕😂

The ribs are off. They could have been trimmed better and cooked longer I think. the smoke flavor was very good but there wasn't much of a smoke ring and the tenderness wasn't there. I still ate em tho....and the VP of quality assurance gave the left overs two paws up. Its amazing to see her just chew up a rib bone effortlessly....like its a potato chip.

She's also not around to object to the drip pan and racks from the smoker being run through the dishwasher. :):)

Dare I pull the grill racks from the BBQ grill and put them in the oven on self clean? Hmmm...... ;)

you will not ever get a smoke ring using an electric smoker. smoke ring is purely cosmetic, anyway. I get a very faint smoke ring on ribs that I cook sous vide and finish over lump charcoal but they only spend about 30 minutes on the grill getting bathed in sauce and caramelized. I get a more pronounced smoke ring when finishing a sous vide brisket or pork shoulder with charcoal and wood chunks, but those spend upwards of three hours on grill with indirect heat. just long enough to get a light bark and smoke ring.

Looks awesome man! I've got 6 racks of ribs and 4 butts in right now.

FWIW. Be careful with those cooked bones and dogs buddy. They splinter and can perforate the intestines. A guy a few years back posted on here about how he killed all 4 of his rabbit dogs on accident by giving them cooked bones to chew on. I've always heard about it but that really sealed the deal for me.

Yeah that’s a good cautionary tale right there.... Raw bones are ok but not the cooked ones.....

That's a good point. She's just so darn cute I have a hard time saying no. The GF gets on me for giving them to her too.
