Just so you guys can get some sleep I’ll post this up. I wasn’t present so I’m going off of what my wife told me. So she decided she was going to take my 6 and 3 year old daughters out and sit in the blind this afternoon. She text me and said it would be a miracle if she saw anything because the girls wouldn’t sit still. Well at 5:27 she called me freaking out. She shot a target buck that we’ve watched for a couple years. By the time she got in and her and the girls warmed up the snow was flying pretty good. We rushed out. Found the arrow with good blood but couldn’t get a bead on where he went. She was so shook up and with the snow/ it being dark she couldn’t point me in the right direction. Long story short 3 hours later of grid searching and I found him. I had to give her a hard time though. I called her over and told her I was giving up and didn’t think she hit him good. She looked pretty pissed off then I said let’s try walking this ridge and she stumbled upon him. She called me a dick and then ran up to the deer lol. Her best crossbow buck to date. Best part of her story was that she had a stare down with this buck for about 30 minutes buck he was looking at he straight in and she didn’t think he was going to give her a shot. Then my youngest yells “mom we have to go! I need to poop!”. Lol the buck turned broadside and she made it count.

Fantastic buck! Look at the belly on him. Big body from that angle. The smile says it all. Congrats to your wife. Amazing she got it done with a 3 and 6 year old in these conditions. That is impressive!

Congrats, very nice buck. The "I gotta poop" will surely not be forgotten when retelling the story.
