I don't consider myself to be a very political person, but I pay attention to things that are important to me and I have my opinions. to me, this seems like a monumental victory for common sense and conservatism. After all the slight of hand and outright deception by Democrats, in spite of the paid protesters, the popular media running interference for them and misreporting the facts on a daily basis, and insincere, inflammatory rhetoric from likes of Schumer, Fienstein, Booker, Harris, et al, Brett Kavanaugh is now on the SCOTUS for life. And just when you think the left cannot possibly stoop any lower, at the eleventh hour they trot out a deranged leftist activist to testify 30 some years after the alleged incident, with no credible evidence, no credible witnesses, no corroboration whatsoever, that Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were teens. These people are dangerous. They are all of the terrible things that they accuse their opponents of, and then some. They will do whatever is necessary to get their way. This circus that was this supreme court justice confirmation is clear evidence that every thinking person in this country needs to choose who they vote for very carefully. we need people in office that respect the constitution above all else.

Hats off to Joe Manchin (D) from Westbygod Virginny for having the guts to vote for Kavanaugh. He's the only Demorat that voted for Kavanaugh, btw.

I wrote to both Portman and Sherrod Brown a couple of weeks ago. I never heard back from Portman's office, but I did get a ridiculous letter back from Sherrod Browns office. he is a total leftist douchebag, and we have the chance to get rid of him next month. time to take out the trash, folks. go and vote.

Well said. I can't see this as being good in the sense that he will be able to do his job and everyone moves on. I fear for his and his family's lives and in the back of my mind think this may be the start of something much larger with all the harassment stuff going on as well. Soon these nut jobs won't be satisfied with just harassing them.

Soon these nut jobs will encounter serious backlash and they will retreat to their safe space. At least I hope that’s how it goes. The left is like a bunch of spoiled children. I hope the adults in the room have had about enough.
They are used to most of us just letting them rant and rave without repercussions. It's funny to see their reactions when you push back, even if it's as little as throwing facts their way. Boy will they be surprised when they cross the lines too far and end up with a can of whoop-ass in their back side.

As I have stated on a previous post, I never voted for one particular party...I would vote for whomever I thought would do the best job, regardless of what party they were in. The actions of the Democratic Party over the past year have pushed me away from them and toward the Republican Party. They are supposed to be adults but instead act like spoiled entitled children. I get an absentee ballot for elections sent directly to my home because I am usually in Ohio hunting during the elections in November. I just recieved my ballot a few days ago and I voted republican on the entire ballot. I don’t think that I will ever vote for a democrat again. I have a hard time voting for someone in party that in my opinion, represents everything that is wrong with this country.

true, but I say this is an even bigger win for Americans, the Constitution and the way of life that people like us cherish. Trump is rolling along, doing what he promised while campaigning. another thing you will never hear about from the mainstream media is how this administration is also loading up the lower courts with judges that are not leftist activists. hundreds of these leftists who have infiltrated the court system at every level are being replaced.

NAFTA gone now, and Trump has the Chi-comms in a headlock over trade. Trump may be a boorish pig and bully, but his accomplishment so far is undeniable and most impressive. imagine how much more could be accomplished if Republicans maintain the majority in congress and actually support the president instead of standing idly by or actively opposing him.

If you still aren't sold on what Leftists really want for America, please take some time to see what has happened in Venezuela over the last 20 years. Socialism in all its glory.

What we've seen is the product of not being able to discipline our children, everybody gets a trophy, instant gratification,... all being encouraged by the very people who said we can't discipline our kids and they get trophies for just being there. Then they go to college and get brainwashed by people that were activists in the 60s. The only thing they know to do is scream in your face until they get their way. It's worked for them their whole lives and they dont know how to handle it when it doesn't work. Its gonna get louder before it quiets down.

We've been saying for a long time that this nation is being pussified and made soft and weak.

I only hope the moderates and independents can see it for what it is and vote accordingly.

I thought I had deleted this, but here is the lame ass response I got from Sen. Socialist Brown

"Dear Mr. Miller:

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination for the Supreme Court. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

The process of appointing a Supreme Court justice is designed to maintain the separation of powers and ensure that the nominee is highly-qualified for a position on the nation's highest court. While the President has the responsibility to select and nominate a justice, the Constitution requires that the Senate provide advice and consent on all Supreme Court nominees. As a result, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the full Senate must conduct a comprehensive review of Judge Kavanaugh's background, record, and qualifications.

After thoroughly reviewing Judge Kavanaugh's record, meeting with him face-to-face, and listening to Ohioans, I am convinced he would side with special interests over working people and threaten the rights of Ohioans. As a result, I will oppose his nomination. Special interests already have armies of lobbyists and lawyers on their side. I believe working people need Justices who will put their rights first, not Justices who will side with insurance companies over cancer survivors, financial scammers over customers, or massive corporations over American workers.

I am already deeply troubled by the recent trend of Supreme Court decisions that strip rights away from Ohioans, including workers, voters, and women. And I will not support any Justice who would take rights away from Ohioans.

Thank you again for reaching out to

Sincerely,

Sherrod Brown, United States Senator"

UUUM, no we need justices who understand and revere the US Constitution and interpret the law based on that without personal bias, not carry out the wishes of their partisan bedfellows. what a dickless weinie. what Ohioan with half a brain voted for this ass clown?
