Long distance (advanced tactics) carbine class

Took a class today with Apex Shooting and Tactics (https://apexshooting.com/) up near Ashtabula.

Started with a 16" DD carbine with an aimpoint T2 red dot, Silencerco Omega can and zero'd at 50 yards. Then walked it back seeing how the trajectory changes at 75, 100, 125, & 150 yards. Then we stretched it out as far as the shooter, ammo, and set up could handle.

I made repeated hits at 400 yards on a 12"x12" steel using both m193 & mk262. Then i hit the limits at 500 yards with only occasional hits on an ISPC steel.

There were 3 other shooters.
LWRC carbine with eotech and 3x magnifier was able to go to 400 on the ISPC.
Tavor with eotech and 3x magnifier who couldn't repeatedly hit at 400.
BCM 16" stainless with a vortex razor 1-10 shooting mk262 that went out to 600 and then a few hits at 700.

For $3,600 that ole boy with the razor better had been hitting shit @600. . Sweet jerbus.

That's pretty cool! Always intrigued at how guys can stretch their limits and make shots like that.
