Alright guys. I know I’m being repetitive about being new to Ohio but I am looking for someone to tag along and hunt late season with on public land here around guernsey, coshocton and Belmont counties. If there’s any takers let me know! Have some pretty decent bucks on camera in all three counties but will probably need to tag team a few of these deer! Let me know who hasn’t punched a buck tag yet and wants to tag along

I may be up for an armed hike in Conesville, Tri-Vally or Woodbury - I've hunted both the latter public areas when I lived in Coshocton, literally in the last century! - no buck tag for me thou - I have one doe tag for the moment.

Note that the Conesville requires an annual "Mother-May-I" waiver free, you print and fill-out, the link will bring it up.

I added the links to them for you. Great time to scout in late Jan or early Feb - late season food sources and travel patterns will be evident.

Might want to check and see if you can kill a doe still on those parts. I'm not sure if some public lands allow it or not after shotgun season.

@giles You are right. Thanks for the overwatch. I will check diligently, if not there's always my grouse gun with 7 1/2 shot. They did change that obscene law this year. You hunt small game during the muzzle loading season with #4 shot or smaller. I'll play bird dog and push, used to do that for my brother.... wow - that was tough to say/write... he's been dead now 9 years Dec 22. ANYwho - Another option as he casts his net for other to go hunting.

update - Coshocton is a "two either sex permits and one deer management permit. - OR - Up to three either-sex permits" ... yep, still have one doe tag there.

@Dannmann801 - again thanks for the overwatch. BLUFF: my first doe was tagged via my land owner tag. I have one doe tag anywhere in Coshcoton county Private or Public.

Ibid: http://ohiodnr.gov/static/documents... Hunting and Trapping Regulations ENGLISH.pdf
Additional restrictions apply when hunting deer on public land. See page 9 for more information.

on page (9) Hunting on Public Land: No more than one antlerless deer may be taken from all public hunting areas per license year.

My first one is tagged as a landowner. Never hurts to be sure with the thin blue line.
