wanted to give a tip of the hat to PartsTree.com. twice in the last two years I've had to get different pulleys, hardware, bearings and belts for my mower deck and last year I had to do some searching for a place to get them. I happened upon PartsTree, and found their site very easy to navigate with really nice exploded views of the the deck that you can zoom in on. easy to find the exact OEM part(s) I needed, easy to gather them in shopping cart. shipped quick and both times parts got here from TX less than 4 business days. easy-peasy. local Cub Cadet dealer had to order these parts both times, so I ordered directly myself. I try to support the local vendors, but they never have anything besides tune up parts and belts in stock.

five star online shopping experience.

Awesome! Good looking out. Parts stores sure ain't what they used to be. Understandable with all the different things nowadays though. Not like the old days with 3 motor choices🤣

The dealers cost in maintaining a parts room too stock parts is ridiculously expensive. The vast majority of owners come in looking for oil, filters, belts and blades….. For them too have parts sitting on the shelf in chance someone might need it costs them quite a bit of $$$

Yup. Could you imagine trying to keep that many parts on hand? Local shops don't have a chance these days. No more running down to Hanks to get a new carb rebuild kit.

After a certain timeframe, they are required too pay for them. Just not cost effective for them.

I totally get why they don't stock parts. it's a lose-lose for local shops. I can get unusual parts as fast as they can, and without the mark up. that's just the reality of the marketplace today, and it is a real benefit to the DIY customer. still, I bought two Kohler tune up kits, which are very convenient, btw, a week ago locally. I bought blades locally last year, but had to buy a PTO belt online because they didn't have one in stock.
