Feels great to give y’all this update. Back in early spring Karissa’s only little window before jumping right back into a full course load through the summer she had surgery scheduled to remove the carriage bolt from her pelvis that went excellent without any adverse results. After finishing her second Keystone presentation with fellow classmates this past Thursday all that was left was her First White Coat ceremony today at 2:00pm at the Ohio Union. This marks the start of her last 2 years in the optometry program at OSU which ends with another White Coat ceremony which includes many Alumni in attendance to welcome all successful students into their profession. It will continue to be challenging but after meeting several of her classmates I’m confident they’ll all work together to finish this journey successfully. It was also nice to meet and talk to the Dean of Optometry and thank her personally for being there for Karissa during that very difficult time last spring and summer and beyond. We’re both so very happy and proud of what she’s accomplished thus far after going through such a horrific ordeal.
we want to again, THANK EVERYONE HERE ON TOO( THE BEST GROUP OF PEOPLE ANYONE COULD EVER KNOW ) FOR ALL OF YOUR THOUGHTS, PRAYERS, LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR HER AND OUR FAMILY. THANK YOU AGAIN AND GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU!!!!
Here are a few pictures from today:
