I am not up to date and never have been on computer stuff. Some of you guys are. I’m looking for something that has times I can set. Maybe a little more control if needed. I’m done arguing in this house about Internet and bedtime fights. A quick search gave me a few options, anyone here doing this already? Have some brands to avoid or prefer?

Dave. This has parental controls that allows you to set blackout times per device. So certain phones, tablets, TVs etc all have their own blackout time. It'll also let you set up daily data limits. You can load the management app on your phone and have direct quick access to the router to see who is online and shut their shit off right from you or your wife's phone. You can also block specific sites, games etc. I can come down and help you set it up. I'll even show up and tell them "yeah... I'm that mother fucker" 😅

That’s the one I found when looking them up. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these things. I have something of yours anyways😂

I’m not seeing that it makes a difference what carrier with this device. Some of the others I know didn’t work with Frontier.

Compatibility is a problem with the modem. This is simply a wireless router. Your modem may be a modem and wireless router in one. If that's the case then we would just turn off the wireless in the modem and plug this into the modem to transmit a wireless signal.

Everything Joe is telling you is spot on. That router will get the job done. If you currently are just connecting directly to the modem via its wireless access point, you will just turn that access point off and plug this router into the back of the modem and configure the router how you like.

I ordered the same one that zjoe recommended and Dave brought. The OEM spectrum modem/wifi router just isn't cutting it, even aftwr having a tech out. Our devices are constantly dropping or switching between the 5g and 2.4. We also wanted to have the addition of parental controls along with increased coverage.....fingers crossed.
