Where I hunt in NY there is a lot of green ground cover, high deer density and it’s easy to have a deer catch your presence from a walk in or out. Hence trying both of these items (and ozone) despite operating with the wind is key and staying as scent free as possible.
So scent thief stinks like mentholatum. My wife is into essential oils and I am thinking the popular Thieves oil is where this is derived. Here is my simply take on this- I never had a deer smoke me by my tracks but the spray seemed to put them on edge. I may fiddle some more with it or try a cam experiment.. but I’m missing the boat on how this works so well for so many. Then again I tried the bee smoker 15yrs Ago and didn’t get that to work despite the popularity. I would go NJ, or walking in w ozonics running. …
