Scope for a muzzleloader

What’s everyone have for a scope on there muzzleloader? Mine took a shit and looses its zero. Thought about putting a new Simmons whitetail classic on it. Not looking to spend a lot seems how I only use it a few days a year! Any input is appreciated!

I have looked at those! That’s another option! They don’t look hateful and have a decent price on them!

I’d check Nikon and Leupold...they are quality scopes and do have some that are not that expensive. I wouldn’t go too cheap on a scope because it’s just as important as the gun that you are using...but you don’t have to spend top dollar to get a good one.

These scopes are inexpensive and of pretty good quality.

Problem with buying a cheap scope...that sucker fails you when you don’t need it to. Trust me on my own mistakes, a scope is no short cut. It only takes one bad shot to ruin a lot. The piece of mind alone is worth a little extra money.

Sadly, I’ve missed and injured a few figuring this out. That road isn’t worth it... Wjat I do is tell everyone to get me gift cards to the same place, that way I still feel like I’m being cheap, because I’m spending other people’s money.

Another option is to not stop and buy that gas station Pepsi multiple times a week, that’ll add up fast.

Bottom line, cheap has a place, it’s not when dealing with deer.

Sorry, but I would never spend money on a Bushnell or Simmons scope again, I lived that dream many years ago.

I have scopes from $150 to $1500. For the money it would very difficult to beat the Burris Ballistic Plex. I own ,many of these and have them on most of my MZ's. Never a concern about zero or track ability. The ballistic plex is also very nice for ranging and calibrating the plex to your load by adjusting the scope power to dial in yardages for the secondary hash marks. Depending on where you hunt and shot opportunities that may not matter to you.

You may only look through it a dozen times a year but I've learned the hard way that "cheap" is not the way to go on a scope.
If you plan, budget and pay for a good one that has a life time warranty, you'll never have to buy another one for that gun again.
