Just looked at the upcoming Labor Day Weekend and this year the squirrel opener isn't until Sunday. Kinda stinks that it fell this way as we won't be able to hunt Saturday.

It's always September 1st. It hardly ever opens on a Saturday.
Yes it is always September 1st. Usually though the labor day weekend is all in September so it is open the entire time. This time the labor day weekend starts in August.
So who all is planning on chasing some bushytails next weekend. Weather looks like it will be on the cooler side.

It looks like the weather is going to be awesome for some hunting! Have been seeing a lot of doves around but I've been itching to get in the woods so I'm thinking it's squirrels for the opener.
I will be taking my life in my hands by chasing dove down at Deer Creek. Have always had good luck on opening day. After that...nothing.
I'll pack 2 guns and chase tree rats early and doves later on. Excited to get out!
Dove hunting first thing, then maybe skirrels in the afternoon. Depending how the doves cooperate I guess.

Our squirrel season starts first Saturday in October. Dove season starts September 8th, teal season is September 14th. Bow season October 1st. Time to start killing!
I'll be focusing on doves. I didn't go out last year and I yearn for some filet mignon of the sky!
You have the most hate for that damn bird than anyone I’ve ever met. Scratch that itch so you can move on with your life and maybe, just maybe be able to go outside and not be so angry.

I'd pick doves everyday over squirrels. But no good ground to go after em. I have a few in my yard, I'll prolly shoot them.

Im willing to bet that my stepson and I will give OhioWhiteTails a run for his money. We enjoy killing those little gray symbols of peace more than we really should. The damn things roost on our houses and taunt us every chance they can. Little gray bastards. And they taste so damn good too.

Looking forward to stacking them up Sunday and Monday with my kids. These last several mornings are giving me the itch....
