Hope everyone's OK. Interested to know if cam axle failure, broken string/cable, or a crack in limb.

User error on some part, but a clear limb failure. I cocked it a week ago and didn't let it down and it exploded at some point. I'm guessing I got very luck and that it's an issue that was developing unbeknownst to me. A week of being cocked shouldn't have caused this on it's own, but it's a possibility. Had someone pull in the driveway to talk and I set it on top of the gun safe and that's all she wrote.

Yeah, that shouldn't have done it.

I bought a 10 pt wicked ridge….2 years later I get a visible crack on one of the limbs. They replaced it no questions asked but geez…2 years old!? Glad you’re safe…could lost that limb AND an eye!

Damn, that’ll leave a mark! I run cotton up and down the limbs checking for any signs of splintering…. I’ve not had one let loose yet and hope it never happens….
Glad no one got injured because of that….

I know the trick, but don't do it as PM and only when there's a question. Might need to change that part of the process!

Does anyone ever leave their x bows cocked overnight if you're planning on going back out in the am ?
Nope. Of course the 10 pt I have makes it easy to uncock without having to fire. I get uneasy enough leaving the muzzleloader charged overnight. Esp if its a caplock.
