Some monsters there... It takes one hell of an 8 to make 160... Just think how many guys that shoot a giant 8 don't even tell people... For instance, take the one "J" shot a couple years back... I beleve he made a set of rattling horns out of it...

Our very one Ric "Papaw Silverback" Newsom killed a world class 8 a few years back. IMO, anything over 150" as a main frame 8 is world class. Takes an impressive animal to get those dimensions with less tines.

I was very blessed being in the right place at the right time. I remember that hunt like it was yesterday. Ron shot a 154” or so 11 point the day before and I was in my stand standing leaning against the tree wondering if I should have forfeited my hunt that day to make the 3.25 hour trip to celebrate his moment then being snapped out of thought as I saw this mega buck cut past my corner opening and started thrashing a honeysuckle bush 36 yards out as he freshened a scrape around 4:15ish. I grabbed my bow and grunt tube and had him at 13 yards looking for the buck standing broadside. What a hunt....👍🏻
