Having been born in Zanesville way back in 1961 and living there till 1970 Ron and I still remember the many trips our parents took us to TICB. Mostly noted for their delicious ice cream their food is great TOO! We still enjoy stopping by even to this day. As I drove thru Zanesville last night on my way up Maple Ave I saw a message on Adnornetto's(another great staple still cranking out awesome food all these years)marquee congratulating Tom's Ice Cream Bowl. After asking mom about it last night she told me that the Food Network Channel just had a visit to Tom's and was airing it on July 21 which happened to be our dads birthday. How fitting, as it was one of his favorite places to take his family for great food and ice cream. What has really helped keep Tom's being so great after all these years is the owner, Bill Sullivan didn't change a thing after buying it from the founder and original owner Tom Mirgon who started it with cousin Jack Hemmer who started their business 1948 which was moved to its current location since 1950. The name was changed to Tom's in 1953 and it's not changed anything since then. If you want to go back in time and get that nostalgic feeling along with great food and ice cream I suggest you make it a must stop as you drive through on I-70 in Zanesville. You can be there in just a few minutes if you take the State St. exit. You can thank me later...:smiley_coolpeace:

I stopped there in 1978 while tagging along with my Dad and one of his high school football players that was being recruited by Ohio State. Very cool place.
