I need to get one ordered for this new truck so we can utilize that little bit of space the best we can. I wanted a certain style as I didn’t want the black bed line and can’t seem to find it on Leers website. I want the slick look and not the high rise.

What’s on your truck?

This is what I want and can’t find.

To go on this.

Leer with sliders, dual handles on the rear glass, accessory rack and interior light. Ran me a little over $1,600 but has more than paid for itself.

Yeah, they really are priceless. We like having them, I can easily grab a trailer if I need to haul something tall or that big. It’s tough to cough up that money, but once you do the pain quickly goes away. 😂

Finally tracked down the model I posted in the first pic. Problem is, that full window design is for Dodge only. The Leer 100XQ model is designed for each truck to flow with its body lines and design. I got some quotes back and it ain’t cheap! Butt fuck, it’s just money and I’m ain’t one known to go cheap on my trucks. In the 3 quotes I’ve got back so far, there’s a $900 difference between dealers.

I've never had a Leer cap, but I've had half a dozen A.R.E's in various configurations. have been happy with the quality of them all. the last one I bought four years ago with most of the bells and whistles was just under $2K. win-doors on both sides with screens, fold down glass up against the cab for easy cleaning, LED lamp and light strip hard wired, heavy duty rear door. might be worth getting a price.

Where do you buy from Jamie?

the last few I got from Engle's Sales in Martinsburg. Excellent service. They, of course, installed the cap for me, and I had problems with the wiring they did over a year after, and they happily fixed it. Got a couple from Funtrail Vans down in Columbus years ago, but I didn't much care for doing business there.

I've got a MaxFit on my truck which is made by A.R.E. It's identical to an A.R.E. cap, just a different badge on the side. Even my keys say A.R.E. on them lol. MaxFit caps run several hundred dollars cheaper than the A.R.E.'s. My cap has the quarter-slides on the side with screens, single-handle latch on the back, and I installed my own LED lighting which has a constant 12V lead so I can turn it on without having to have my truck ignition switch in the ON or ACC positions. I prefer the single rear latch vs the double. Maybe slightly less secure, but to me the double handles are a pain in the ass.

Toys4Trucks in Fremont sells MaxFit and Century, as well as a few others. If I'm not mistaken, Century is made by Leer. I have no regrets for buying the less expensive version and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I put a call into them and left a message. I’ve spent a lot of money with them over the years. Even when I lived out of state, they seemed to be able to ship me things cheaper then I could buy local. Good peoples

Once again, Toys4Trucks was best on price by a few hundred dollars. Waiting on a call back now for the overhead storage bin and fold down front window options. I had both options on my last top and lived them.

Anyone looking for truck accessories, might be worth giving them a call or email.

I actually just got a call from the local guy that he got a used one in today. So I’m gonna go look at it. Body shop said they’d paint it for $450 and he’s asking $1300 for the top.
