I'm killing time since it's slowed down some.

I'm curious as to what you take with you for your all day sits, especially in the chewable department.

This is my second all day sit this season and I always take the following;
  • water
  • one Pepsi
  • approx 4 protein bars
  • hard peppermint candy
I'm interested in other options in this department and I hope you folks can give me some good ideas.

Other items that are in my hunter pack;
  • Ruger 38 Revolver
  • Havalon Knife
  • 2 - Buck Knifes
  • Deer Horns for Rattling
  • Two Grunt Calls
  • Doe Bleat Can
  • Roll of Tolet Paper
  • Piss Bottle
  • Compass
  • Minor Head Lamp
  • Blood Tracking Flashlight
  • 1000 Lumina White Flashlight
  • Box of Wooden Matches
  • Gutting Gloves
  • Tracking Reflective Tape
  • Scotts #33 Electrical Tape
  • Tactical Pen
  • Extra Cell Phone Battery
  • CIRRUS Wind Indicator/Flashlight/Cell Phone Charger
  • Booklet of SD Cards
  • BoneView microUSB - SD Card Reader
  • Scent-A-Way Wipes
  • Paper Towel Sheets
  • 4 Large Zip-Loc Bags
  • 4 Small Zip-Loc Bags
  • Headache Meds
  • Extra Wrist Bow Release
  • Mini Prime Time Calender
  • Drag Harness-N-Rope
  • Extra Pair of Gloves
  • Extra Face Mask
  • Extra Shirts
  • Extra Shocks
  • Hand Warmers
  • Foot Warmers
  • Allen Tool for Bow
  • Small Klien Muilt Wrench
  • HME Products Hand Saw
  • Bow Hanger
  • 4 - Small Lag Tree Hooks
  • 1/4" x 5' - Nylon Rope
  • Nikon Monarch 8x42 Binos
  • Vortex Ranger 1800
  • Halo Rangefinder
  • Package of 12 AAA Lithium Batteries
  • Package of Micro Lithium Batteries for Bow Site
  • Package of 2032 Lithium Batteries for Ball Cap Lamp
And I think that's about it for the time being.

Like I said, I wish to get some suggestions on the food catagory mainly since the rut is upon us and I intend on doing more of these all day sits over the course of a week.

Appreciate it, thanks!

This season I added an apple. Heard they naturalize your breath scent. So hopefully the deer don't smell my breakfast bagel smothered with peanut butter. Eat one on the way to the stand and then another after a mid-morning snack of a protein bar.

Bottle of water, about 6 paper towels in a zip-lock bag and phone charger. If its an all day sit: I will pack about 6 - 1/2 PBJ's folded for finger food. Xtra bottle of water. Pop Tarts in a ziploc is a go to. Protein and Granola bars at times also.

Knife, tags, rangefinder, headlamp, rubber gloves, grunt tube, first aid kit, baby wipes... And if I'm hunting all day, some snacks and coffee.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to packing in gear. I like to go far and pack light.

I will say, one thing I make sure is in my pack or blind bag at all times is QuickClot gauze. You just never know when you might need to stop a bad bleed.

Let's see...

Large zip lock bag
Tag, license, permission slips
Pen
3 or 4 rubber bands
Bow hanger
Range finder
50 feet paracord
Flashlight
Gloves
Hat
Knife
Folding saw
Pruning shears
Grunt tube
Flask with some "cough medicine"

I also roll up a fleece jacket and a windbreaker and strap them to the sides of the pack. I prefer to be underdressed for the walk in and add a couple layers as needed

If I'm sitting for a long period if time I'll take a bottle of water and possibly some crackers.

Just wanted say thank you to all that shared in "what's in your pack?".

Zip-ties & perhaps a first-aid kit will go on my list of additions for my pack 'TOO', thanks!

With regards to food, I'm going to pick up some trail-mix and give that a try.

I'm also going make some venison jerky out one of those Does I harvested back in October.

I'm good with all the drinks that I currently take.

Once again, thanks for sharing and your suggestions.

Oh, one other thing I'm really interested in 'TOO' is a real good thermos for drinks and/or food.

I've gone through several over years including some of the pricier ones, and none of them really seemed to have lasted.

I'm looking for one strictly for hunting.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
