A day late and a dollar short. I just got a pair of Ariat waterproof workbooks yesterday. Hope they last. They seem well made.

These are actually less expensive.

The Ariats started failing after 8 months. Nursed them to the year mark before total failure. Unexcepable for $200.
Yep I agreed. I was shocked when it happened. Had started to feel the pain in my feet for 4 days.. I’m like what the hell?!

I had been buying Justin steel toe boots but switched to Ariat. Not happpy with Ariat. So, will see what is out there. My uncle Dave and I talked about it few months back and he has been wearing Wolverine steel toe and says it’s the best. That you can stand on all day long everyday. I said I’ll find out for myself

Wolverines are good also...I’ve had a few pair of them over the years.

I complained about my Redwings not lasting. The pair I have now has lasted better. BUT. . .I got a boot dryer for Christmas a couple years ago. Not sure if that was the difference or if I just got a "good pair" this time. I am on about year two. I also am not in the field as much as I used to be. I try to keep them cleaned up and polished (they are over due for a good clean up.) I think the air dryer helps. I've also been wearing more tennis shoes in the summer. So 2 years may be more like 9mo of regular use.

I found a place 34 miles away that is a dealer. Going on a road trip this morning.

I am very hard on boots. I average 6.2 miles a day. I wear them from when I get out of the shower until I go to bed. They get submerged in mud/water a lot. They really started failing after I waded a creek stalking a big buck. Gortex started separating from the boot. I will try and remember to grab pics of the soles before they hit the dumpter.

Not work boots, but hunting boots... Nice pair of Rocky's.... My complaint is why don't the put regular eyelets on today's boots... I hate this things... And no there not quicker to lace.
