I've entered my favorite stage of the year: Ducks in the AM, Deer in the PM. We have some does to take care of, so that's the mission.

My ruger American 450 misfired on this guy at 40 yards Saturday of gun, second time this has happened because the bolt action has some play in it, the gun is being sent back to ruger for repair. My muzzleloader that I have never had an issue with, misfired on a 250# plus bear at 12 yards while out in NJ , I’ve had a challenging season, I need some luck tomorrow’s hunt.

Think maybe it's the user and not the tool?
No its a known issue on the gun, I made sure the bolt in down every time I shot it after the first incident, killed several deer, the tall buck came in in a hurry and when I picked up the gun quickly , bolt moved just enough not to fire, it dimpled the primer. It’s obviously a hard lesson learned not to fix the problem after the first incident
