Very nice work. I'm sure with some more time and effort the hunting will follow suit, and in the meantime I'm sure some good memories will still be made.

There are enough deer. The quality of bucks is lacking at this point. Not much I can do about what the neighbors shoot. We have made a lot of changes to the land in 5 years. Some of the bucks (3 year olds and younger) that have grown up there are calling it home but it is not the core area for any mature bucks yet. If nasty thick is good then things should turn around soon.

Solar power is really easy to set up these days. I did a few set up for cabins in AK. Pretty basic...if you can play with Lego's and wire a Christmas tree, you'll be just fine. I'd suggest going a little bigger right off the bat because adding more storage isn't as easy. It is getting affordable now, which is great! Doesn't take 20 years to pay for itself.

Project looks great and looks like it'll last many generations. Great job guys! I'd look at taking some of those pictures and ones to come and start filling those walls with the memories. It'll be really something for conversation now and in 100 years from now. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

Finally got the solar hooked up to the cabin. Much better than running a generator.

Lights powered by solar.
