Last night me and Cooper went on a mission to get his first buck. We got in the blind about 5 after I got off work. Almost immediately a buck busts a doe out in the field and chases her in front of us. About 6:15 I look up and see see 2 more does coming over the hill and 2 more bucks right behind them. All of a sudden the bigger one bristles up and pushes this guy right to us. I spun the bow around and he was quarterd away at 22 yards. I got Cooper on him and he pulls the trigger. The deer instantly falls to the ground kicking his legs. I was in shock that he just crumbled like the. Me and Cooper high five and made a call. Then I see him start to drag himself away. So I tell Cooper he needs another arrow so I recock the bow and tell him we will get out of the blind to get another one in him because he rolled out of the window we could shoot out of. As soon as I open the blind and step out he sees me and up on his feet he went and into the woods. Very little blood going into the woods so we backed out. Today I got off early and when Cooper got off the bus we went to find him. He didn't make it 50 yards off the field. To say he was excited is an understatement. Now it's dads turn.
