Florida Man’s 2023-2024 Season

Well as some of you know I’ve moved back to Florida! I’ll be posting on here my hunting and fishing adventures for this year if y’all want to follow along! Haven’t been to the woods yet but have spent as much time on the water as possible. Here’s the recent catches from the last couple weeks! For those wondering about the gag grouper that was a commercial trip I made with a buddy of mine.

A quick three hour trip led to 50/60 snook being caught tonight in one spot. The bite was crazy good! Biggest fish right at 30. Finished the night with filleting and dicing up some snapper for ceviché! Good Father’s Day weekend with shotty weather!

That's great - we're too far North for the Linesiders - caught them in Tampa Bay and around there when stationed at Madill AFB.

Going to do my first card pull this weekend for some cameras that have been out for around a month and a half! Works been kicking my ass. Will update on a few fishin trips I’ve made and some woods pictures here tonight! Hope everyone is having a good summer and staying hydrated out there! It’s hotter than satan’s ballsack out here!

Finally got all my arrows finished. Still rocking 5mm easton axis 340s. Total arrow weight is 463 grains. Should be able to blow right through everything this year! Heading up Friday morning to north Florida,Saturday is the opener! Good luck to any and all that are in the woods this weekend

This trip has been awesome and a couple days left to get some more dead. #14 hit the dirt today at like 230 and had plenty of opportunities to shoot more but we are all whipped. Tomorrow is a new day. Back to it in the am! A full closure and all the pictures will be uploaded then!

This is a hunt I do every year down at Myakka state forest about three hours south of lower Suwannee. I’ve been hunting this other wma for about 16 years and have always done well here.

It’s right off the Myakka river. Totally different layout. A lot of flag ponds but tons and tons high ground too! Deer are super abundant and this place is about a 20th of the size of lower Suwannee with minimal pressure on the pig hunting side. A lot of snipe and dove hunting take place here but most of the hog hunters sit in treestands and we push so we pretty much have the place to ourselves

Well boys. Today is the final day. Yesterday it was just me and my buddy Noah. We split up for the evening hunts and I smacked three more! Pig 16,17 and18 died last night all courtesy of the stoegger m3500 and 00 buck shot! This has been a hunt for the books and I’ll never forget the memories and all the good times! I’ll be dropping off 4 of my bigger pigs to the food bank around 1pm then back out in the rain for the evening after the morning hunt. Will keep y’all updated!
