That's what happened last year on a doe I shot... she was broadside and the arrow went into the right side ribs and out the left rear leg.... Guts came with the arrow plugging the hole....
Glad it worked out for you.... Kudos for sticking it out like you did....

Similar thing happened to me- arrow in high right, deflected, cut his aorta, nicked his stomach and came out his left rear. Died quick but wasn't happy with the shot.

After talking to multiple trackers the past two days and really looking at what the broadheads did. I think I'm going to switch away from the rage heads. I just wasn't happy with the performance on this deer at all.

You did take a 15 yard shot at a steep angle.
