Typical first hunt. Some funny shit.
Well on that old compuound, i had a fully enclosed rest. Didnt think to much of not having one on the recurve.
So, after hanging the stand like a pro, one trip up, my bow is hanging on the ez hanger or whatever the hell its called. Locked and load. Its go time.
Well, something happened, possibly the heavy ass winds i wasnt expecting, and my arrow falls to the ground. Sum a bitch. 5-10 minutes later, same shit. Annoying this time. So here goes my long hair ass shimmying down the tree(was down to one arrow at this point, my least favorite). Ha.
Saw a big ole turk, no deer until i glassed the field on my way out.
Wish i would have saved that tree for a different night . Felt great to be out. Much needed.
I did kill the shit outta a leaf from my stand on way out. Good confidence boost

Here's one at my dads honey hole. No day light photos. That deer looks familiar. I'd happily put one through his pump station

We'll see. His first hunt wont b till the wednesday before the strouds trip. He has had some great luck at this property.
Well, i put my brain to work and was able to take an old xbow quiver and convert it to mount on the recurve. Still need to make a couple tweeks. 1. I want the arrows a bit higher up the bow. 2. Add a spacer to bring the quiver a bit furthur outfrom the bow. Should b solid.
