Bar none (no pun intended) one of the coolest experiences I've had.

Neat bourbon bar and store in Louisville. They have lots of dusty bottles and they serve them.

We did a flight with
1970s "Camel" bourbon - very corn forward like a corn pop but smooth
1940s "walsh" (grocery store brand) - you could taste the age, lots of funk
1990s 12yo Old Rip Van Winkle - wow and my personal favorite
1990s Old Saint Nick - another wow but different than the ORVW, bars upon the age Julian Van Winkle Sr probably selected the barrel.

Had a flight. Bought a bottle. Townsend, TN. Wasn't the cheapest. Wasn't the most expensive. It was the one I liked the best. I don't have a refined pallet to explain it, nor do I partake often enough to know the differences. I liked it.

looks good, and that you enjoy it is the most important part

Doug and I finally connected this AM so he could get his bottle of Bookers from Rick, from Strouds, lol.

Unfortunately I only had 10mins before my next mtg. to catch up and do a crash house/barn tour, but that good lad brought me a bottle of Ancoent Ancient Age as a gift! Man, talk about catching me off-guard, what a surprise that is TOO good! Thanks again Doug!
