It's been said and sizing is key. You have to go around and figure out what GPM all your fixtures will put out, and get a total GPM. This will tell you what size tankless you need.

If you are talking a everyday user I would steer clear of the electric models. They can get crazy, some of them require up to 90 amps to run them. You talk about a electric meter spinning!

The biggest difference to understand between a conventional water heater and a tankless is this. A conventional water heater, set it and forget it. Your supposed to flush them once a month, but truth is no one does. A tankless water heater. There is a minimum of a yearly maintenance that needs to be done depending on the condition of your water. You better make sure you have valves that will allow this type of maintenance or your tankless is due for a short life, and numerous issues.
