Last weekend I made a commment and felt to tone change. Not sure why people feel different about this, had it been a hog that wondered threw camp, people would’ve been throwing tables and shit. Anyways, I’m glad to see this problem grabbing some real attention finally.
A cat roaming the woods is no ones pet, and it’s about time some of these owners start taking responsibility for their actions. Pretty damn sad IMO.
I once’s laughed at a guy walking a cat down the street. A few months later that fruit loop walked in my store, I knew exactly where I’d seen him before and kept my distance. Over the next few months he became a solid customer that would stop in multiple times a week just to BS. Could cal him a buddy at this point. Real smart guy that worked for the airlines and didn’t have a family, all he had was this cat. Worked for him to have a companion that didn’t need him home every few hours, just every few days.
Perfect for his lifestyle. One day I asked Frank (we will just call him Frank), wtf do you walk your cat on a leash for? By now I’ve known Frank for about a year and it was the first time I’d seen him get pissed. He ranted about how typical cat owners have no idea what they’re doing to the Wild by letting these killers roam. Narcissistic serial killers was the exact title he gave them.
That night I did some research and it seriously changed my way. I once was an owner of 2 cats that roamed. No longer did we do that and became responsible cat owners.
So I once laughed at a really smart guy because I was the idiot... A few times I’ve made comments of here and gotten responses about my perspective (not about cats, but in general). Maybe it was all because of Frank? I always try and keep that in my mind when things come up.
