Been awhile since I have been to a good concert. You have me thinking Jesse. This would be a great show. Priorities with kids change things such as how many concerts you can attend. Garth would certainly be one to go to though. We missed him in Vegas by a few days when we were there on our 10yr anniversary a couple years ago.

Beener- You are too much man. lmao

For those of you with eclectic tastes in music, try out the Hackensaw Boys. They call themselves "newgrass" instead of bluegrass. Sort of like bluegrass on crack. lol

My mom and sister know Garth. They all flew out to see him in Vegas. Hung out backstage for a while afterwards. I have met him a couple times. Nice guy. Will Damn near break your hand shaking it...

See I wasn't a Tool fan (unknowingly anyways) until after college. In high school, it was all the stoners that listened to them and I was still pretty straight laced, so I didn't have that connection. After college, I began to realize how many of their songs I knew and liked without knowing it was them. I bought 10,000 Days and was hooked. When I bought Lateralus, they officially became my favorite band. H. is my favorite song of all time. Forty Six & 2 along with Hooker with a Penis are in my Top 10 all time.

Tough to pick a top 10 for Tool...Opiate while different,early an raw has a special place in my heart..But with it being the year the Mayan's say the world will end..I would say this is my fave..Lyrics and the song "meaning" below the vid is GREAT..

Accidents happen. I was at the Newport at a concert, in a hurry to get to the front, coming from the back beer area.. Almost ran over this short bald guy, avoided him at the last minute.. It was David Draiman, the lead singer from Disturbed. Gave me a couple wierd looks from the stage later when he was performing ;)

QUOTE=Beentown;127249]Funny mosh pit story...

I used to be a pretty big/athletic guy. I was monkey in the middle/king of the mountain just smoking dudes and it was getting rough but not serious. This dude starts giving me the eye and takes off for me...I sent him flying. I turn and raise my hands in victory.

The circle of people started booing me after they had been supporting me. Confused I turned around...then I was really confused. I knocked the dudes leg OFF!

He only had one leg....the other was a prostetic. Felt pretty dumb and bought him a beer...good dude.[/QUOTE]

Man I feel old! Must be a tool TOO!lol. I've never heard of the band Tool. Lmao

I've seen Garth back in his prime(1990's) it was a great show. Give me some Hank Jr. turned down to medium volume along some crick or river bank along with some background noise of whippoorwills,crickets and bullfrogs and that is among my bucket list of concerts. Lol .......and a bunch of TOOzers there with me drinkin' some brews.

Not quite the same setting you were going for Ric, but I did see Hank Jr. in concert a few years ago! :)

It's right down the street from me. I took in almost all of the concerts there. My Buddy and his Wife owns it now. Not much goes on except for hunting and what they call Hookafest....Which is 2000's version of hippies. I can say a couple Booner's came out of there and lord only knows how many 140+ have been taken TOO. Can say I seen some wild sights out there in the Concert Booming Summers!

Tool albums have gotten worse over time. Saw them at ozzfest. Came out as an evangelist, then stripped down to his underwear.. They were anal about no cameras for that show.. We snuck a couple in, and got pics...

I was at that show TOO. Been in many a mosh pit. Was at Polaris when they rioted after Ozzy not coming out, Pantera was at that show and had the whole lawn in a mosh pit. I have never been in such a violent mosh pit though as when TOOL played aniema. It was all fun and games until they pulled that one and it just seemed to bring the worst out in everyone.

I had 5th row for that show and sold them because I got invited to go on a vacation in myrtle.. Saw it on the news down there..
